Nature abounds at Wind Blow, with a spectacular variety of flora and fascinating fauna on our grounds.
Enjoy our tropical gardens or hike the trail to Bat eux Bauche, our freshwater river. Along the way you will be greeted with drifts of pink, white and yellow Oleander blossoms and startling splashes of raw color from the Bouganeaville and the Hibiscus (a favorite of our local hummingbirds).
Feast your eyes on Ginger Lilies, Bird of Paradise and Torch Lilies so perfect you might think they are made of wax.
In the evening the delicious perfume of the Frangipangi, Ilang and Butterfly Gardenia will caress your senses. Breathe in the scents and sights of the tropical rainforest and know well that you truly have found Paradise.
The larger denizens of Wind Blow include the shy agouti, Dominica's version of the North American hare, the night-dwelling manicou, a ring-tailed member of the opossum family, and the ubiquitous Mountain Chicken, which isn't a bird at all, but a jumbo frog with a deep voice that rings loud and clear in the concerto of chirps, trills and whistles that compose the rainforest's evening symphony.
Bird life is especially abundant at Wind Blow, with four species of hummingbirds in irridescent shades of purple, blue and green. Overhead you may even see a flock of Jaco parrots winging toward their afternoon haunts.
